PAID TIME OFF
Piedmont Health values its employees and recognizes the need for personal time away from their work. Paid Time Off (PTO) is designed to give you discretion and flexibility in the use of that time. You begin earning PTO immediately upon hire; it is not available for use, however, until you have completed the 90-day Introductory period successfully.
PTO is designed to provide employees with flexibility in the use of their paid time away from work. Covered under Paid Time Off are the following:
- Normal vacation time
- Personal and/or family sickness
- Involvement in Child(ren’s) School(s)
- General Court Attendance
- Voting time
- Family activities
- Religious or other extra holiday times
Paid Time Off is used for all time away from work with the exception of the following:
The ten holidays provided annually. See the Holidays Page for those dates.
- Jury Duty
- Military leave
- Continuing Medical Education ( CME) days for Providers/RNs/Directors when more than five days annually are required
- Official Court Attendance
All non-emergency PTO must be pre-approved and pre-scheduled with the immediate supervisor to ensure staff levels are adequate to meet business requirements.
