You are eligible for STD coverage on the first of the month after 365 days (1 Year) of benefit eligible service.

Definition of disability

Disabled means that you as an employee are either partially or totally unable to perform your main duties.

Elimination period

There is a 14 day accident and 14 day illness elimination period

Weekly benefit amount

The Short Term Disability ( LTD ) Plan provides 60% of your earnings up to a maximum weekly benefit amount of $1,500.  There is a limit of twelve weeks during this benefit period.

Maternity is paid at five weeks after delivery

Cost of benefit

Piedmont Health pays for this disability insurance as a benefit at this time.
