SHORT TERM DISABILITY
You are eligible for STD coverage on the first of the month after 365 days (1 Year) of benefit-eligible service.
Definition of disability
Disabled means that you as an employee are either partially or totally unable to perform your main duties.
There is a 14 day accident and 14 day illness elimination period
Weekly benefit amount
The Short Term Disability ( LTD ) Plan provides 60% of your earnings up to a maximum weekly benefit amount of $1,500. There is a limit of twelve weeks during this benefit period.
Maternity is paid five weeks after delivery
Cost of benefit
Piedmont Health pays for this disability insurance as a benefit at this time.
